Historic Edgefield McMenamans was a great place to watch one of my favorite bands play a twilight show. After a day of rain the weather cleared up just in time for the show. With the setting sun shining MMJ played an amazing show before a welcoming sold out audience.

How about a hike to tunnel falls
Finding out that I was going to have friday off motivated me to get a early start on the weekend and go on a backpacking trip to tunnel falls on eagle creek. After stopping to get a few supplies and then again at Multnomah falls to read my guide book and look at a map. I decide to head to Eagle creek for a 12 mile hike but ended up hiking 15. Getting a late start (7:45pm)at the trailhead i was greeted by day hikers headed back to there car wondering why anyone would begin a hike here at this hour.

Summer Solstice Climbing at Ozone
After going on a long run (clothed!) to clear my head i get a call from my buddy Robbie asking if i want to join him for a summer solstice evening of climbing at the Ozone. I eagerly except and grab my gear and bike to his house to meet him and two others. Ozone is a newly discovered rock climbing area in Washington just 20 miles east of Portland. Located on the Columbia river gorge, a beautiful view awaits if you are able to finish routes and top out above the tree line. We finished the night in town eating some good grub at a favorite restaurant of the group.
I hope you guys who keep up are great. I sure do miss the ones i love and who love me. Keep in touch.

Worlds Largest Naked Bike Ride
When i heard about the naked bike ride on saturday i was unsure whether or not i would actually ride. But when it came time i stripped down and saddled up!
2 hours of riding around town with thousands of other naked riders and just as many street side spectators tailgating and standing outside bars and restaurants losing there appetites while letting there food get cold.
We laughed and cheered the entire ride, we had an amazing time. what was funny to me was not how silly we looked naked but how silly the spectators looked clothed.
It was a cold night and a high level of humility was present but quickly disappeared when you looked around at everyone else.

Oswald State Park
Seaside Oregon
Acres and acres of beautiful flowers on the way to the coast.
A massive Douglas Fir split at the base on one of our hikes. One of the biggest Doug Firs i've seen.
Ferns unrolling for thhe summer
My good friend Tim from Boone took time away from his version of life with the rich and famous to pay a visit to his sister in Portland last weekend. Upon Tim's landlocked Idaho urges we made a trip west to the beach for the day to do some hiking and beaching. It turns out that we could stay the night at a friends vacant beach house. After locating the hide a key we get some party supplies for a cookout at the beach house.
