March 31-April 1: Vegas

We drove all afternoon to get to Vegas. We really had debated whether or not to go, as it didn't really fit the theme of our trip, but I decided I had to see what was going on there. We did some negotiating on Priceline and scored a room at the Luxor- the pyramid hotel. Anyways, at the very least it would be a warm shower and a comfy queen bed to myself- that's right two queen bed suite.

Just as you get to the border you see Hoover Dam, which Chandler was interested in checking out. To me it was just a big dam- crazy that it helps eventually dry out the Colorado River though and crazy that it supplies all of Vegas with water!

We checked into the hotel and immediately showered, then headed out to the strip. It was everything that I imagined- a crazy adult playground. We walked around sightseeing all afternoon and well on past midnight. It was a lot to take in and we both decided one night would be enough for this trip. Maybe another time I will better indulge in sin city ;)
