We arrived at Seminole Canyon after dark, but we could tell that the canyon would be impressive. We set up camp at a lovely little site and I'm sad I didn't get a photo, but it looked out over the rolling hills near the canyon. There was a nice little set up with a picnic table, fire pit, and tent site.
In the morning we hurried to the Visitor's Center to try and get a spot on the 10 a.m. canyon pictographs tour. It is the only way one is able to hike down in the canyon and everything- campsites, tours, etc. has been filling up fast, as it is Spring Break for most colleges and schools in the area. Chandler managed to score us two of the last available spots on the tour and man, was it amazing. Our tour guide was terrific, very knowledgeable of the flora and fauna, and of the native people that settle in the canyon. Most of the pictographs still remaining on the walls today were painted over 4,000 years ago! Pictographs of Shaman painted in peyote induced trances and pictures of the "other side." It was all intriguing and mesmerizing. I ate it up :)

Beautiful pictures of you and Chan!
I love the bronze statue of Shaman. Can you get little replicas?
